Applications for September 2022 are now open!
We had the pleasure of welcoming some of our Secondary Trainees back to live training this week here at GORSE SCITT HQ! Helen Carr, Director of GORSE SCITT, was leading the training on Meaningful and Purposeful Assessment, and was delighted to be able to do so face-to-face.
Trainees also had the opportunity to learn from an expert practitioner from one of our partner schools, Carlton Keighley, who Zoomed into our training room, making for an engaging and successful hybrid training session!
The feedback from trainees was overwhelmingly positive, with all commenting how constructive it was to get together with their colleagues in person, some of whom they have never met in person before!

This is what some of the trainees had to say about the day:
“It has been fantastic to meet the cohort in person. Live discussions feel more meaningful.”
Tina – Maths Trainee
“Live training has led to more sharing of experiences and ideas, helping me to build my confidence in my teaching practice. It is also easier to steal ideas in person!’
Saba – Art trainee
“Live training has allowed for us to bond on a more personal level, and made us feel much like a team!”
Jake – PE Trainee
“Live training has allowed for more interaction between other trainees which is great for sharing ideas and information!”
Andrew – Chemistry
We are looking forward to seeing everyone again next week!
