As Placement One draws to a close, it has been a pleasure to see how welcoming and supportive our placement schools have been in helping trainees settle into their roles. It has also been encouraging to witness the strong support networks trainees have developed, both within their schools and through their subject training groups.

This month, our focus has very much been on future employment, with trainees starting to apply for roles and some already successfully securing positions. Trainees had the opportunity to meet with GORSE Principals as part of their employment preparation, before taking part in application writing workshops and interview technique masterclasses.

As festive decorations appeared around the training base, we launched our Christmas Charity Appeal in support of BARCA Leeds, a Leeds-based charity working to break the cycle of homelessness. Staff and trainees donated shoeboxes filled with gifts, which were delivered to the charity in time for Christmas.
