GORSE SCITT has a proud record of leading the development of School Centred Initial Teacher Training. We firmly believe that governors play an important role in supporting this as part of the Leeds Teaching School Hub governing body. Governors are drawn from a diverse spectrum, with professional representation covering the breadth of educational provision in the city. This includes leaders of partner schools. Alongside these professional representatives, the governing body also includes representation from wider stakeholders in the city. With a strong governing body we are confident that robust support, questioning and challenge will, through being critical friends, provide the foundations for GORSE SCITT to grow, flourish and provide the truly outstanding teachers of the future for Leeds and the wider region.
