GORSE SCITT Leeds

GORSE SCITT Leeds offers both primary and secondary courses and works in partnership with schools across the Leeds city region. With its base at Bruntcliffe Academy, GORSE SCITT Leeds has trained over a thousand teachers since its inception in September 2015.

GORSE SCITT Leeds works in collaboration and partnership with all 12 of the GORSE Academies Trust academies, including our Post 16 provision, Elliott Hudson College and our Alternative Provision, The Stephen Longfellow Academy. We also work with a range of highly regarded schools across Leeds to ensure that we can give you personalised school placements that truly develops you into the best teacher you can be.

GORSE SCITT Hull and East Yorkshire

We work in collaboration and partnership with six secondary schools in Hull, Bridlington, Barton Upon Humber and Thorne, providing a highly effective School Centred Initial Teacher Training programme.

The offer we provide follows the same hugely successful Ofsted Outstanding programme as our other hubs but it is adapted to meet the ethos and requirements of the schools we work with in the area and the local communities they serve. These strong partnerships mean our trainees can train to teach in schools local to them, helping to make a difference in the lives of children in their communities. The vast majority of trainees secure employment in our partner schools.

Whether you choose to train in or around the vibrant city of Hull or the picturesque seaside town of Bridlington, GORSE SCITT provides an enhanced Teacher Training experience to develop you as a skilled and reflective Early Career Teacher with the ability to transform lives, allowing all children to excel regardless of background.
