Course Information

All secondary trainees receive 2 hours of subject training per week, led by a highly experienced subject leader, who has a strong track-record of outstanding results in schools in the GORSE Academies Trust.

Within weekly training you will learn and refine your subject substantive knowledge and be able to plan and teach lessons to an outstanding level in a range of different settings. We will help you learn to adapt your planning to meet the needs of a range of learners and to ensure that they can enjoy and be inspired by your lessons. Additionally, throughout the course you will have the opportunity to work with expert colleagues from across the trust to develop both your declarative and procedural knowledge in a wide range of sporting activities.

Through undertaking this course, it is our hope that you will pass on your love for physical education to the next generation in order to support them to live a happy, healthy and successful life after their educational journey!
