Our SKE Courses

Our SKE courses are based upon a comprehensive curriculum designed by subject experts covering all areas of the national curriculum and beyond, including A Level. They allow you to access excellent group tuition every week to support you in completing your topic work and weekly assessments, as well as providing you with detailed feedback highlighting your subject knowledge strengths and areas where you could enrich your professional knowledge further.

All courses are fully online – by utilising our online platform you can access all your resources and key messages. It can also be used to contact your subject lead at a time that is suitable to your schedule. This allows you to fit the course around your lifestyle and current commitments.

We offer 25 hours of learning on a full-time basis; this includes a one hour weekly tutorial with your subject expert and a weekly assessment. All courses can also be completed on a part time basis.

You are eligible to apply if you hold an offer with an ITT provider, conditional on the completion of an SKE. You may be eligible to apply for a bursary if you have a minimum of a 2.2 degree.

If a participant is not eligible for DfE funding, we offer self-funded options that would enable a participant to gain the valuable knowledge required to start ITT. Alternatively, self funded SKE courses are available to colleagues working in schools who have a desire to improve their subject knowledge.
