Our programme leads to QTS and PGCE; Masters level work is completed with The University of Sunderland.
Activities necessary for the 60 M Level credits are delivered in our numerous excellent learning spaces.
Expert training and support in acquiring your Qualified Teacher Status and PGCE, with everyday experience of outstanding teaching in schools which are all Ofsted Good or Outstanding.
Rapid Career Progress
We have trained over 300 trainee teachers across all subjects.
The majority of these colleagues are now pursuing rewarding careers in our Trust and Alliance schools.
A number of our colleagues now hold positions of responsibility after making expeditious progress in their careers.
Several of our secondary trained colleagues are working within primary schools.
World Class Training Facilities
We will take you out of the classroom for two afternoons a week in order to give you training sessions on every aspect of Teaching and Learning.
Training is delivered by expert practitioners from across the partner schools, and sessions are hosted in our bespoke facilities.
Our training space, located at GORSE SCITT Centre for Initial Teacher Training on the campus of Bruntcliffe Academy, has been designed specifically to accommodate our training sessions, and offers a holistic and diverse training experience.

GORSE SCITT is proud to offer enhancing experiences such as time at the Outstanding Elliott Hudson College and The Stephen Longfellow Academy, a school for students with profound learning difficulties.
All of the schools we work with are geographically convenient for commuting from across West Yorkshire.
Your cohort will be full of like-minded trainees; you will learn together and support each other professionally and socially. You will also be supported by a personal mentor, a professional mentor and a lead expert in your subject.
